This two-day workshop, February 1 & 2, will explore trauma and resilience and how this influences team wellness. We ask that people commit to attending both days to get the most out of the workshop.
Trauma + Resilience
Trauma Awareness + Resilience is a trauma-informed care training. This training is a vital component of any organization, and especially in human services. Trauma-Informed care provides understanding for the individual experience, better communication and engagement, identification of triggers and retraumatizing experiences, lower burnout amongst caregivers, and healing and forward movement.
This workshop will explore:
• Effects of trauma
• Trauma types
• Impacts of traumatic stress
• Interventions & approaches

Wellness for Teams
Organizational Wellness is vital for preventing burnout. When service providers are working to heal trauma, they often hold space for others to heal. Not only does trauma and compassion fatigue impact providers, but it impacts those they serve. Organizational wellness programs are critical to the health and wellbeing of practitioners and teams.
The Organizational Wellness program discusses:
• Self-care strategies
• Development of an indivdiual wellness plan
• Dedicated explorations of Healing Interventions
• Importance of wellness

Audience: HIV Case Managers and Care Supervisors at agencies funded by the Wisconsin HIV Program who are interested in learning about trauma & resilience.
Please Note: This registration is for cohort 1 on February 1-2. The workshop will also be offered February 8-9, 2022 and is titled Cohort 2. You only need to attend cohort 1 or 2, not both. |
